Teacher training in Wayanad since 2004

Valummel Teacher Training Institute (TTI) at Moolankave, Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad prepares teachers for Lower and Upper Primary classes through the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education — the D.El.Ed, still widely known in Kerala as TTC.

The institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), approved by the Government of Kerala and follows the SCERT Kerala syllabus, with 100 seats a year. It is managed by Meenakshi Charitable Trust.
